From the Garden Salve

A garden is a magical place.  It is full of plant alchemy and healing for the body, mind, and soul.  This salve is a product of my garden - each herb in it was grown by my own hands, often from seed.  Each tin is a product of my own love and energy, the powerful Texas sun, and precious rainwater.  I've collected bee balm, clary sage, echinacea, lemon verbena, self heal, and lemon balm, dried them in my workshop, then infused them for six weeks into a blend of sunflower and high linoleic safflower oils.  After straining, I melt a bit of plant wax into the oil to firm up the blend and hand pour it into easy-to-recycle tins.  This gorgeous salve is perfect for hands that have spent the day in soil, feet that have spent the day in the dirt, or any skin that needs a bit of soothing. In addition to their healing properties, this collection of herbs is magically associated with emotional healing, love and attraction, protection, and intuition making this a lovely addition to your personal rituals as well.

I work hard to formulate and craft the finest products I can for you. This means ethically sourcing my ingredients, reducing my carbon footprint, and making sure my packaging is as recyclable as possible. I grow as many of the herbs that I craft with as I can, with the constant goal of 100% garden-grown. I source locally what I cannot yet produce myself. I am working to phase essential oils out of my products in favor of whole-plant infusions wherever possible. My preservative blend for my aqueous products is both good for your skin and good for the planet. No parabens, petrochemicals, or formaldehyde-releasers here!

Please remember that all of my products are crafted by hand in small batches in my workroom. I follow standard sanitation procedures, but this is an environment that does contain gluten, nuts, a variety of plant/nut oils, and an abundance of both fresh and dried plant matter. Always patch test a new product, even if you are familiar with every ingredient. Allergies can appear overnight.
